It has been a wonderful feeling to have our classroom once again
filled with the presence of our scholars.
What has been even more wonderful is to see the connection we are
building with our distance learners and in person scholars. We thank you for your continued support as we
make hybrid learning a possibility.
Google Classroom
Students that have returned to school will be losing access to
Google Classroom this week. Please make
sure if you have missing work to submit as soon as possible.
Attendance
This
is just a reminder that if your scholar(s) are in-person student, they can only
be marked present if they physically attend class. In-person scholars are
placed in a separate category entirely by the Arizona Department of Education
and are now on a separate track. Though they currently have access to Google
Classroom, this format cannot replace in-person
attendance. If your in-person scholar(s) need to be absent be sure
to call the Archway Trivium East Attendance line at 623-218-6607. Please
e-mail me if you have any questions.
Support
Thank you all for your amazing support
this last month. As we continue with
hybrid learning, we need more help from you at home. I know each
circumstance is a bit different and some of you may be working from home, have
other little ones around, and so forth. As much as you are able please be
available to support with attentiveness, focus, and completing work. Please also make sure videos stay on during
our live sessions and scholars are muted unless called on by their teacher.
Water Bottles and School Lunches
We highly encourage all students to bring their own water bottles to school. The water fountains are available but bringing their own water will allow our students to stay hydrated, avoid the need to leave the classroom as frequently, and minimize the sharing of the water fountain. We are also in the process of installing a water bottle filling station for our students use. Again, water is available, but this practice is a very helpful one.
We ask for your help with your child’s school lunches. Please practice opening lunch items with them
so they can open them by themselves. We
will always help them open things, but if they know how to open everything in
their lunch it would reduce the time they wait for help.

New Poem –
The Little
Turtle
By Vachel
Lindsay
There was a
little turtle.
He lived in a
box.
He swam in a
puddle.
He climbed on
the rocks.
He snapped at
a mosquito.
He snapped at
a flea.
He snapped at
a minnow.
And he
snapped at me.
He caught the
mosquito.
He caught the
flea.
He caught the
minnow.
But he didn’t
catch me!
