The end of the quarter is finally upon us.  We would like to express our appreciation to our families and the grace and support you have shown us this quarter.  Our families are truly amazing. 

The last day of the quarter is this Thursday, October 1st.  There is no school on Friday, October 2nd.  For our distant learners please make sure you are reviewing your scholar’s work in Google Classroom.  Look for any missing work and submit before October 2nd.  October 2nd will be the closing of the quarter and the closing of the grade book.

XtraMath – Please make sure your scholar is completing Xtramath at least 3 times a week.

RAZKids – Please continue to use this wonderful resource and have your child read each night.

Spalding – Scholars will learn 13 new words.  Spelling test is on Thursday, October 1st.

Math- Methods of subtraction that include using related facts to solve a subtraction problem, number bonds with subtraction, recognizing that a missing part means subtraction and counting on to subtract.  Math Quiz is on October 1st.

History – Continue with Ancient Mesopotamia.  Test on Tuesday, September 29^th. 

ELA- Continue reading a beloved children’s classic, Owl At Home.  Literature test on Thursday, October 1^st.

Grammar- Continue discussing nouns.  Grammar Quiz on Thursday, October 1st.

Poetry – “The Little Turtle” by Vachel Lindsay.  Recitations will be completed this week.

Monday, October 26^th – School Picture Day for In-person learners.  Distant learners will have an opportunity to have their photo taken on November 20^th.
