Hello 1A Families,
It has been a busy season. The concerts last week were beautiful. Our scholars did a fabulous job. We have a few more days to go and are working hard to get all pieces of our rich curriculum into our little sponges.
I also wanted to mention good practices when it comes to illness. If your child is sick especially with fever please keep them home to rest and get well. We are being diligent during this season to disinfect surfaces and teach the kiddos different ways to not spread germs. Please also talk about these things at home so that we can all do our best to stay healthy during this season.
Below is a few reminders about uniforms and the dress code. The full policy can be found on pages 50-54 in our Family Handbook.
· Students may wear the school sweater or pullover fleece jacket in the classroom
· Students may wear a non-school sweater or jacket, or a school spirit sweater outside the classroom (ex. recess, PE)
· Girls may wear tights with their skirts/jumpers, but not leggings (tights have feet, leggings do not)
· School uniform shirts have long and short sleeve options, students may not wear a long-sleeve shirt under their short-sleeve uniform
Some uniform reminders not related to weather:
· Outerwear and backpacks should be free of logos, messages, and icons of popular culture. This includes keychains/toys attached to backpacks
· All shoes must be solid white or solid black low-top athletic shoes
· Students may wear spirit-wear including shirts and sweaters on spirit days
· Boy's socks: solid black, navy, or white covering the ankle but below the shin
Girl's socks: solid black, navy, or white covering the ankle but below the shin or knee-high
