October 23rd-27th

It was my pleasure getting to meet with each one of you last week. I have enjoyed getting to each of my students and each of their families. Please take a look at the information below regarding details for this academic week.

FIELD TRIP FAQ:
When is the field trip?
The field trip is this Thursday, October 26th.
 Does my child have to wear his/her school uniform?
Yes. Your child will need to wear the school uniform.
 What does my child need to bring to school on that day?
Your child will need to bring the following items to school:

• Backpack, agenda, homework folder, math workbook and any other school items that your child needs for a regular school day. (Our academic day will continue when we return to school after the field trip.)
• A healthy snack to eat in the morning before we leave for our trip
• A cold lunch
• A disposable water bottle (clearly labeled)

How long is the field trip?
We will leave at approximately 8:30 and return at approximately 12:30.
What else can I do to prepare my child for the field trip?
Please go over the ballet and performance etiquette.  Guidelines were sent home in  your child's homework folder.

MATH:
This week we are starting our unit on addition and subtraction through 20.  The "Friendly Notes part 1" was sent home in your child's red homework folder today.  Please keep it  at home and use it  as a reference when helping your child with homework. 

HISTORY:
Ancient Egypt

GRAMMAR:
- Common nouns and proper nouns
- Write sentences correctly with upper case letters at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns and using end marks at the end of the sentence.

LITERATURE:
Frog and Toad are Friends

WATER BOTTLES:
This is just a reminder that students need to bring water bottles to school every day.

- Singapore math clinic - 6:00 pm (This event is for parent's only.)
