Week 2 Packets include Spalding review. These are words that we have learned in class and are practicing.
Math concepts this week are also review of numbers through 40. Continue to practice addition and subtraction methods.
Grammar concepts include classifying sentences by finding the nouns and the verbs. Review definitions and the five parts of a sentence. Writing practice includes copy work. Please encourage your child to keep a journal. This is another great way to promote independent writing while also documenting a pivotal time in our history.
In literature, scholars are listening to the folktale Thumbelina. Please be sure you are reading this section of the packet to or with your scholar. Scholars will answer questions about literary elements and comprehension questions about the story.
