I hope everyone had a restful weekend. It is hard to believe there are only three week left of the quarter and fall break is just around the corner. Our scholars continue to grow leaps and bounds in there knowledge and their habits of a scholar. We are seeing reading groups daily, beginning differentiated lyceum math groups, we started one of my all time favorites, Owl at Home. I am sure the students will come to love Owl as I have. This week we have begun our subtraction unit. When working on subtraction please refer to the terms "take away" and look at the "missing part." In subtraction we always start with the whole number and then take away a part. Please also use counters if you are finding your child needs a little more support with concrete manipulatives.
I hope your week is one that is productive and full of joy. As always please reach out via email if you have any questions for me.
